\ly Dear Brother & Sisler,

I received your highly esteem 'd favour of the 9th of Februarv 1835 some time in the month of November last, since which time I have been lo N. Orleans on business and have moved from Brazoria to this place which is about I 2 miles. I broke up house keeping on the 1st of January last and now board out; - Susan Elizabeth Richeson my little Grandaughter is with her Uncle's Richeson and her Aunt N. Orleans, who are abundantly able to do a good part by her. She is now 4 years & 8 mos. old and if she lives, she will inherit a very handsome Estate left on the death of her Father in Texas, he died of colera in Saltillio about 600 miles west of this place, where he had gone with merchandize, he died in the fall of 1833 - Susan, I do think one of the finest children I ever saw. - she is very sensible and almost a perfect beauty I entend pulling her lo a boarding school either in the western Stales or New England as soon as she is old enough. - I have resighncd the merchantile business lo Samuel, my oldest son, who is now of age; the first purchas of good's which he made was shipcd in a vessel which was wrecked, and the cargo entirely lost, he rece'd information a fcw days since of the insureance money being paid, which will cause his immediate return to N. Orleans. Bcnja. my 2nd Son is with Mr. Mills a merchant in Brazoria where he has lived since we first moved lo this country; my family now only consist of my 2 sons and hdovcd Grandaughter; - The information your letter imparts, respecting our relation's, and my old friends in \larlhorough affords me great satisfaction I hope
