I have jusl arrived here from ~lalamoras and as all communication is cul off lwlwccn T1:xas andall other parts of the Republic I take this opportunity of giving you some information that may be useful Lo Texas-I ldL Matamoras on Lhc 12th of the present month- All the Vessels in th1~ porl was inbargoed for the purpose of transporting Troops to the coast of Texas- Tlw Commandenl Gen Cos forbid all foreigners from leaving the City under any circumstances- I ran away and succeeded in gelling this far safe- Three thousand Troops had rcacl1t'.d Saltillo on Lheir way lo Texas- All this may or nollu: news lo you- l will lw with you in a few days by the way of Brazoria- I am detained lwre today on account of the bad health of my traveling companion Mr Dispalit·r who is sick with a fever.
