In my reply to Houston's speech in the U. S. Senate attacking me, I published the above with other infamous acts of his life; but some of his sycophants, trusting the original letter was no longer in existe~ce denied this disgraceful larceny on the Treasury of our poor strugglmg Texas.- I subjoin therefore, in my second edition, this fac-simile of the original, obtained from the Administrator of the late consul Wm.
