DEAR Sm You will please receive this by the hand of our fellow townsman Mr Peter McGreal to whom I have made mention my resignation of the -office of Collector of this Port; Mr McGreal has signified a wish to receive the appointment '& has been induced to visit your Excellency .and make ·the application .
