Cunningham in the office of Chief Justice of this County which, they are informed, has become vacant by resigna- tion. Mr Fisk is well known to the undersigned; as a gentleman of probity, and qualifications adequate to the discharge of the duties of the office, and we believe his nomination would meet with as much approbation of our Citizens as we have confidence his discharge of the duties of the office would give general satisfaction.
