lnncl in the Province of Texas containing Three Leagues Square, sit- uated on the Trinity River commencing nine Leagues below Salcecloville on the East Side of the River and bounded as follows (viz) Beginning at an Ouk tree on the bank of the Hiver and running North Sixty five degrees East three Leagues to a Walnut tree adjoining ~[ichael Quinns land, thence South twenty five degrees East, three leagues to Oak tree, thence South Sixty five degrees West three Leagues to an Ash tree, thence up the River to the beginning,- The abm·e tract included the Prarie known by the name of :Mount Prarie and was granted to Peter Brace on the 31st "l\fay 1809 by Antonio Saens the then Civil & 1i~ili~ary ·commander of Salcedo Village, and was ~ccupied for a length of time by said Peter Brace.- The 6th from same to same of one equal half of four tracts or pieces of lanu containing thl'ee hundred and fifty acres of land each, all ad- joining each other and situate one League East of Salcedo Ville on a Casy Bayou which empties into the Trinity River about one League above said village,- 'l'he said tracts are adjoiucd on the upper side by lands claimed by Heram Hernandes.- Said Quinn also conveys to said parties one half of a house and lot in Salcedo Village adjoining the ferry across the Trinity River.- The 6th from same to same of one equal half of a certain tract or piece of land in the Province of Texas containing three Leagues square more or less, situated on the waters of the Gulph of Mexico within one league of the Old Post of Tuscascate, which tract has been improved and came legally into possession of Said Michael Quinn on the 20th day of March 1809 and was originally granted to Ranuy Bodro, by Jeronimo Hererobring [ ?] then Civil & Military Commander of Tus- caseate.- Said Quinn also conveys to said parties above named one half of certain lots in the Village of Tuscaseate, (granted in same manner as above tract)- The 7th from same to same of one equal half of certain tract of land in the Province of Texas containing three leagues square, situated six leagues below Salcedo Ville and on the East side of Trinity River, commencing at at [sic] pince on the River bank called the Pnsso altho (or sheep ford) and bounded as follows Viz, Beginning flt an oak tree at the Passo altho, running North si;dy five degrees East three leagues to a Walnut tree, thence south twenty five deg ~ three leagues to· an oak tree, thence south sixty-five degrees west three leagues to an oak tree on the margin of the River thence up the River three leagues to the beginning-.- The aforesaid tract of land was granted to Said Quinn by Antoiiio Saens the then Ci,·il nnd military Commandant of Salcedo Village on the 1st June 1809 and was occupied and in pos- session of said Quinn a length of time.- Such is an abstract of the conveyances made by the parties named, to B.
