any one of the firm thereafter agreed upon by the parties.-& Mr Bullett in consequence of the removal of Capt Arnold and my brother from that station, transacted the business of the company and retained the deeds of which Capt A and l\Iy brother had copies.-Whether Bullett ever had them recorded, or whether him or Capt A, or both of them sold their own or my brothers interest I have never been able to learn.- The conveyances were all made to B. Bullett Wm A Trimble & W. Arnold.- · The first was from John Linn, of an equal half of certain tracts or pieces of land in the province of Texas, viz one tract or piece of land containing five leagues square, situated about four miles west of Trin- ity River, twelve miles below Salcedo Village on a creek commonly called De los Brazos,-the said tract was granted to Linn by Don Antonio Cordero Governor of the province of Texas, for public services and was occupied and improved by Linn.- Also two other tracts of land commonly called out lots, containing three hundred and fifty acres each, situated three miles below Salcedo Village and bounded on the west side by the Trinity River and on the North by Henry Sheredons claims or out lots,-also two lots in Salcedo village containing half an acre each more or less, adjoining South East Corner of the Public Square in Said Village.- The second is a conveyance from Henry Sherridan to the same parties, of one equal half of a certain tract or piece of land in the Province of Texas containing three Leagues square, situated on the South West side of the Trinity River, twelve leagues below Salcedo Ville, bounded on the North East side by said river and on the other side by his Catholic :Majesty's dominion, the improvement is situated at a large spring called the Prarie Spring one League below the upper boundary and two Leagues above the lower boundary, the said spring is about one mile West or South west of trinity River. The said tract or parcel of land was granted to Henry Sherridan by Don Antonio Cordero, the then governor of the Province of Texas on the fourth day of September 1806, and settled and improved by sd- Henry Sherridan in 1807.- The Third is a conveyance from Michael Quinn of the Parish of Natch- itoches to the parties above named of one fourth part of a tract of land in the province of Texas containing two Leagues Square, more or less, situated upon the Arroyo De Toyne, known by the name of the Couish (the name of an ancient Indian Villa~e) it is bounded on the West by the lands of Martin Ruez and on all the other sides by his Catholic l\f ajestys dominions, and lies within four leagues of the Village of Nachadoches. It was improved by and came Legally into possession of Michael Quinn on the 4th June 1807.- The 4th is from Sd Quinn to said parties of one equal half of certain tract or piece of land situate in the Province of Texas, consisting of one in lot and two out lots, which include part of the Mission Con,.. ceplion, and runs back to the ford of the St Antonio River, situate one League from St Antonio City, containing one thousand acres more or less.- The above lots of land were improved and came legaly into possession of Said :Michael Quinn on the 4th June 1807, and were originally granted to William lllcWilliams on tl~e 5th Fehr 1806,. by Don Antonio Cordero then Governor of the provmce of Texas- The 5th is from same to same of one equal half of a certain tract of
