I wrote you in August from Athens Ga desiring some information respecting Texas land scrip but for fear that my letter has not reached you, I again write. I must beg your pardon for so troubliJ1g you, but as I am unac- quainted in Texas, and as I have been advised by a friend to write you, I do so with the hope of getting the information sought I purchased two years ago of Col Coleboum of Texas during a visit to Mobile a quantity of Texas land scrip issued by the "Rio Grand an<l Texas Laud Company also by the "Colorado and Red River Land Company" I still have the above scrips and as they cost me considerable money, I wish to locate them, if I can so do by coming immediately out.
