Allow me to congratulate you on your triumphant election to the Presidency by the unsolicited suffrages of the freemen of the Republick of Texas- to the Independence of which Republick, you have so greatly contributed. Believe me I rejoice in your success- and at the same time feel proud that Texas has so high minded illld honourable au Executive. Now for myself- Can you Genl. do any thing for me? I wish a situation and if you will appoint me to any one which in your wisdom you may think me capable of fulfilling, you will find me grateful, attentive and persevering. The bearer of this l\[r.
