Resolutionfor appointt'ng Thos. F. M'Kinney Ag:ent, &c. Be it resolved, and it is hereby resolved, by the General Coun- cil of the Provisional Government of Texas, That Thomas F. M'IGnney, of the Firm of M'Kinney & Williams, be, and he is herehy, const.ihtted an .Agent of the Govrenroent of Texas for the purpose of receiving and keeping charge of the Pub- lic Stores for the Armies of Texas, at the mouth of the river Brazos, to be delivered to the orders of the proper officers of the Government aforesaid; and the said M'Cinney, as agent aforesaid, is authorized and required to provide for and sup- ply volunteers for the Army, who come within the meaning and provisions of an Ordinance and Decree entitled, "An Ordinance and Decree to organize and establish an Auxiliary Yolunteer Corps to the Army of Texas, and other purposes," and passed the 5th day of December, 1835, with the necessary arms, ammunition and provisions to enable them to do duty and reach head-quarters, where he shall _direct them to pro- ceed with all convenient despatch: p1·ovided, that the said Government Agent shall, in all cases, take duplicate receipts for all articles or money advanced.
