Resolved, That William Pettus, the Contractor for the Volunteer .Army, in conjunction and with the advice of T. F. l\l'Kinney, be directed to ·make such provisions for Gen- eral l\Iexia and his command, at the mouth of the Brazos, ·1s will enable them to proceed into the interior, &c., with the object of carrying the war into the enemy's country; and that General :i\Iexia be required to report his plan of opera- tions through the said Contractor, in writing, to the Provi- sional Government of Texas.
