An Ordinance declaring the mode ofpassing, signing, and · publishing t/ze Ordinances, Decrees and Resolutions of the Provisional Gover11111e11t o_f Texas. SEO. 1. Be it ordained and decreed, and it is hereby or-· dained and decreed, by the Gweral Council of the Provisional Got:ernment of Texas, That all ordinances, decrees, and reso- lutions after being finally passed by the General Council, shall be copied in a fair hand with all the amendments, by the clerk of the Committee from which the bill originated, when thE' same !,hall be endorser! "pai;sed" with the date of its pass11ge, be 11igned by the Pre!,ident of the said Council and attested by the- Secretary thereof. when the said bill so endorsed and signed, !thall be forthwith sent to the Governor for approval and signature, which if not approved by him and returned within three full days, from the time of its being received in the J~xecutive office, it shall be in full force; but if within the three days aforesaid,. t.he Governor shall refuse his approval and signature, it shall be his duty within that time to return the said bill or ordinance to the General Council with his rea- sons therefor in writing. When the said bill or ordinance @hall be re-considered bv the Council aforesaid, and on the concurrence of two-thirds of all the members, shall be in full force and effect. SEO. 2.
