He says that Urea, resisted ·two or three times the order of Sant- ana to execute Fannin and his men; and finally retired to Victoria or elsewhere to avoid the bloody work; where[ upon Santana] despatched one of his A ids Col. Portia, to carry the order into effect;,and fear- ing that Portia also might fail, in a few days he despatched another one of his aids, Col.
