Sir,

I am instructed by the Commanding General to say that unless you receive timely advice from the Governor of Texas, ,that your Company will be retained in service under his direction or that it will be relieved say by the 1st of October, you will please by that date take the necessary measures to break up the post at Laredo and proceed with your Company to Camargo where it will be discharged and paid. The Commanding offiC'er of that District has received the necessary instructions to muster the Company out of service ·on its arrival. In case your Company abandons the post the public prop- erty will be' conveyed to Camargo, agreeably to the instructions re- ceived by Lieut Bee from Col. Whiting. I am instructed by the General to say that the account for rent of quarters at Laredo if certified by you to be necessary, will receive his order for paJJnent.
