On the expiration of the term of service of the Company of Texas Mounted Volunteers now Stationed at Laredo, vou are hereby authorised to organize another Company for the protecti~n of that por- tion of the frontier, to be mustered into the service of the United States for the period of twelve months, to consist of 1 Captain, 1 first Lieutenant, 2 second Lieutenants 4 Sergeants, 4 Corporals, 2 buglers, 1 Farrier and Blacki,smith and 80 privates - Should the number of privates.on being mustered not fall below -64 effective men in a Com- pany, it will be received- The inspecting officer who will muster the Company _into service will receive no man who is not in years appar- ently over 45 or under 18 - or who is not of physical strength and vigor; nor the horse of any volunteer not apparently sound and effec- tive with the necessary horse equipments or furniture. As soon as the Company is organized you will order an election for Company officers and forward Election returns and muster rolls to this office · By Order of the Governer
