afterwards twice a week. On any change of the number of Rations required one Weeks notice will be given the contractor. The Government of Texas by the undersigned agrees to pay the party of the first part the Sum of two cents per pound in Cash, the payment to be made every sixty-five days from the Date of the First Delivery of said B [eef] at the place above speci- fied. Be it remembered by the party of the first part that all offals heads and hides are to be excepted and not charged for and to belong to the party of the first part, his vouchers for delivery of said Beef to be signed by the Commissary receiving it, and Countersigned by the Commandant of the post for the faithful and true performance of which the party of the first part has given Bond and security. To David White esqr, Texian Agent, Mobile. Sir. On the receipt of this notice you will desist from all further sales of land scrip, and place all that you may have on hand at the Disposition of Colonel A. Sidney Thruston as well as all funds, acceptances &c. which you hold, or possess belong- ing to this Government, and take his receipt for the same. I need not urge you again to furnish this Government with your account current, as it is indispensible that it should be had speed- ily; and previous to the meeting of Congress on the 1st day of May next.
