To Capt. Cook of the San Antonio Greys. . Sir, I have the pleasure to acknowledge the tender of your services, and those of your company; to Texas, for three months. The same is accepted with pleasure for three months in behalf of Texas, and any time will be allowed that service will admit of. Nacogdoches, 18th Feb. 1836. Lieut Col. H. Millard will forward the Recruits, now at this post under the command of Lieut Teal:! - to Washington as soon as practicable, who will report to the Major General on his arrival at that place- It is requisite that the troops shall be con- centrated at or near the frontier with all possible dispatch. My dear Friend, On the 11th Inst I reached this place assured that I would find 700 men-only the rise of 300 unor- ganized were on the Ground-since then my force has increased to near 500.
