To the Acting Treasurer : Sir, Pay to Benjamin Sloat one hundred dollars out of the Executive Contingent Fund in your hands to my credit, due the said Sloat for services as Indian Agent, and to be charged to the Indian Appropriation. Sam Houston [Rubric] The Acting Treasurer will make the proper entry on his books, showing the transfer of the above amount from the Executive Contingent fund to the Indian purpose fund, so that the same may be reimbursed from the latter to the former fund.
