To Sah-had-duck, Chief of the Kechies: MY BROTHER:- My ears are always open to the voices of my red brothers. When they speak I hear them. You have brought a talk from the Comanches. When you shall have come to see me, I will send men with you who will see you safe back to your hunting-ground, with talks of friendship to the Comanches and all our red brothers. If the red brothers should wish to come down with you to see me, you may tell them to bring their peltries and trade, if they wish to do so.
