By the returns now on file in this Department it appears that 2383 1ba Dried Beef was purchased from the above named Gentle- men, of which amount the receipt for issues, together with that left on hand in Austin, at the disbandment of the force, show 2137lbs. only-as to price, the Dept. is not informed.
