Sir- You will proceed in proper season to procure from the Lipans and Tonkeway tribes of Indians, all the prisoners which may be in their possession, for the purpose of delivering them to their own tribes at the council ground at the Waco Village, between the 9th and 15th day of February next. Do not fail to do so; as an omission might be the cause of difficulty and greatly embarrass the negotiation and conclusion of the con- templated treaty, so important and so much desired by the people generally.
