EXECUTIVE APPROVAL OF ESTIMATE OF COST OF INSPECTING AND MUSTERING THE MILITIA INTO SERVICEt Houston 23rd July, 1842. Estimate of funds required to pay Major Joseph Daniels, Act- ing Assistant Inspector General, for his services in inspecting and mustering into service the Militia and Volunteers according to order of the Honorable Secretary of War. Required two hundred and forty eight dollars and 50/100 (248.50). I certify that the above estimate is founded on the best data that could be obtained and is an actual and true estimate, and is made out in accordance with the regulations of the army of Texas. J. Snively The Comptroller will issue his draft in favor of Col. J. Snively and charge the same to the Appropriation for Frontier Protection. G. W. Hockley, Secretary of War & Marine.
