TO GENERAL EDWIN M0REH0USE 1 Executive Department, City of Houston, March 28, 1842. To Brigadier General E. Morehouse, 2 Second Brigade, Texas Militia: Sir-You will restore to Lieutenant Colonel G. W. Adams his sword, that he may return to his duty. You will not recognize any other regimental Quarter Master than J. W. White,3 Esquire, until further orders. He will pro- ceed to collect and receipt for all public arms and public stores of every description, to be held subject to the orders of the War Department. Owing to the absence of the Honorable, the Secre- tary of War, the Executive has given this order. · All property impressed will be restored to the owners.
