Houston, 16th March, 1842.

Dear Daingerfield 2 Jones, Hockley & Miller are with me. I can get on. I have sent thro' them, much to you, and for you. I wish you to have announced in the papers, that all persons acting as agents from Texas in the United States, not under your orders from the President will not be recognized by this Govern- ment. Heretofore great impositions have been practised and I wish no more. Do crush imposters. Do the best you can-I know you will ! ! ! My dear Maggy joins me in the very best wishes for your hap- piness and regrets one thing! Madam is improving in health. All join in blessings and praises of "the noble Daingerfield." The Boat starts. Write! You will have to employ one or more good clerks. You will need assistance. Houston. Col.
