To the Senate: The President has the pleasure of submitting to the Honorable Senate a Convention 2 of limits between the United States and Texas, recently entered into by the pleni- potentiaries of the two Governments, and respectfully requests the Ratification of the same. The President sends his respects to the Auditor and begs that he will audit most strictly the discharges of Lynch's::> Company, and it may be necessary to refer to the War Department and see the orders of command and discharge. 2 Nicholas Lynch was adjutant of the Regular Infantry at the battle of San Jacinto, Henry Millard being his Lieutenant Colonel Commanding. After the battle Lynch continued in the service, 1·e-enlisting in June as a captain of Company "C," First Regiment, of the Regular Infantry. He
