for a Representative in Congress to fill the vacancy occasioned by the resignation of the Honorable Ira Ingram. 2 And it is hereby further ordered that the Honorable Silas Dinsmore, Junr. Chief Justice of the County of Matagorda be and he is hereby commanded to hold said election for Representa- tive, on the day above named: and he the said Silas Dinsmore Junr. is hereby directed and commanded to appoint the Judges and Clerks for each precinct who shall be qualified by him or some other Justice of the Peace for said County, the returns from each precinct to be made by the judges thereof to the said Silas Dinsmore Junr. within four days after the election Done at Columbia this 13th April 1837 and of the Independence of Texas the second.
