Detailed by order of the Genl. & left at the upper camp opposite Harrisburg to guard the baggage & sick. Did not take his discharge from the Company. Furloughed by the Genl. On furlough ,, July 20th Lt. Murphree was discharged and went to the United States on a visit and Jesse Benton Jr. succeeded in Command. Joined after the battle and proceeded to Victoria and West of there with the Army, and were in service all the campaign. One of Fannin's made his escape from the massacre, wounded in the arm, joined the Co. Apl.,36 1 of Ward's Battin. Made his escape and joined us about June 5. 1 of Ward's Battln. Made his excape and joined us about June 5. 1 of Ward's men. Likewise came in at the same time.
