Washington County Personally appeared before me, Lewis Bond, an acting Justice of the Peace in and for said County the within named W.W. Hill who makes oath that the within return made by him is correct and true so help me God. Sworn & Subscribed before me this 9th day of April, 1839.

Before me, William Fairgax Gay (Gray), a Notary Public in and for the County of Harrisburg aforesaid commis- sioned and sworn, this day personally came and appeared the citizen, Shubal Marsh of the County of Washington, who being duly sworn deposed and said that he is well acquainted with the handwriting of Lewis Bond, a Justice of the Peace for the County ofWashington, having often seen him write his name, and he verily believes the name of said Bond signed as J.P. to the annexed certificate to be genuine and usual autograph of said Bond.
