Since the above was written we are informed that Jose Ma- ria with a party of 30 or 40 Indians have arived and in- camped about ten miles above here on the Navasota for a winters hunt Dr W H Cook of the senate from this district can give fur- ther information as to the in- croachments of said Indians all of which is respectfully sub- mitted for your consideration and further action C.
