TREATY BETWEEN TEXAS AND THE COMANCHE INDIANS

City of Houston 29th May 1838

This Treaty of Peace and Amity made and entered into at the City of Houston by the Hon. R. A. Irion and Doctor Ashbel Smith, Commissioners on the part of the Republic of Texas, and Muguara, Muestyah, and Muhy, Chiefs of the Comanche Tribe of Indians, Proclaims! To all whom it may concern that the pub- lic faitl, and honor of each of the contracting parties is mutually and firmly bound for the performance of the several articles fo!lowing. viz:- .4. rt. 1.
