AN ACT Authorizing the President to have Sun·eyed a Reserve of Land for the Coushatta and Alabama Indians. Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre- sentatives of the Republic of Texas, in Congress assembled, That the President be and is hereby authorised and required, at as ear)y a period as practicable, to haYe sun·eyed two leagues of )and, including the village of the Coushatta Indians, also two other )eagues of )and inc)uding the fenced in Yillage of the Ala- bama tribe of Indians for the entire and exclusive use and bene- fit of said tribes of Indians unti! otherwise provided for by law.
