No. 47 PETITION FROM BOSQUE COUNTY TO F'. R. LUBHOCK [1862 or 1863]
To His Excellency
Governor I<,. R. Lubbock The undersigned would respectfully recommend to Your Excellency, Mr William R. Sedberry of Bosque County for the appointment of Quarter Master of the regiment to be raised for the defence of the frontier. \Ve would state that Mr Sed- berry has long lived upon the frontier, has performed much service in its defence, and that his interests are identified with those of the people living on the frontier We believe further that his appointment would be acceptable to the frontier people, and that he woud perform all the duties incumbent under said appointment honestly and efficiently.
