No. 312 LETTER FROM ANSON JONES TO THOMAS G. WESTERN Barrington Sep. 8th 1845
Dear Sir
Mr. Brown the Stage proprietor has one of the Mules, I loaned it to him some time since. By calling on him he will be able to furnish you with something to suit the purpose you require. The instructions appear to me proper to the Commis- sioners but much is left to your discretion. The main object of the present council is, to remove any difficulties which may have arisen since the last one and to keep the Indians quiet, by a mutual renewal of friendly engagements and by making them suitable presents. Do as you think best with the prisoners. I should be willing to give them all up if the prisoners themselves wish it.
