CERTIFICATION OF ACCOUNT AND APPROPRIATE DRAFT Washington Jany. 25./45 The Delaware Indian "Jack Harry" accompanied my party on the trip to the Comanche Nation in 1843 and served faithfully as a hunter during the whole trip, but was not employed by me individually-He was engaged by Jim Shaw by consent of the President, but whether his account was ever paid or not, I am unable to state-If it has not it is a just claim against the Gov- ernment.
