invited them down to the vicinity of the Falls of the Brazos, to meet with your Excellency, and enter into a Treaty with the Republic of Texas; to which they agreed, and on the evening of the 6th Inst. we had the honor of presenting them to your Excellency, about eight miles above the Falls. The accompanying document No 1. contains the m'inutes of the Council and Treaty held with the different Indian tribes and No 2, the distribution of presents made among them.
