A few days ago I addressed you with a letter, 47 in regard to the Expedition to Santa Fe. New Mexico, and now I have the pleasure to infor111 you, that should the Government be disposed to patronize a Press. at Santa Fe, (after bringing that Territory under the soveraignity of Texas) I would be willing to venture with one, on the same terms as you proposed me last year to go to San Antonio.- I can, .with the assistance of the Executive, and with his Sanction obtain a Press &c: in this place, & be ready to join the Expedition, if immediately authorized to that effect.- Should you deem it expedient to employ my services, in any way in said Expedition, you are at liberty to Command them.-
