Henderson and in conformity to his wish have authorized his name announced as a candidate for Congress in Harrisburg Co. Please communicate to Gen: Johnson Gen: H.'s re- gards as expressed in his letter. Should a certain contingency occur which I communicatd [sic] to you as probable I may desire during the comeing winter or spring to go to England or France, but do not let it influence you a moment in making any appointments you are disposed to confer.
