Knowing lhe Members of the Cabinet as I do, I feel it useless to offer an apology for an apparent officiousness. I know lhey will allow me credit for good intention With very great Respect I am D Sir, Yr obl Servt. Robert Tripletl N. B. The haste with which I have been compelerl to concoct and scribble off the whole of this communication & the enclosure will be manifest-I am s rry more time was not allowed lo mature my views -but you ,viii only need the suggestion, that is all I intend to give. You will mature & perfect the plans of course among yourselves When I say I have not had time to write but a few lines to my own family, you & .Mr. Hardiman will of course excuse my not giving more attention to your private matters. The fund on hand would nol meet the private demands and you will see the bills have been scaled. The balance will be sent as soon as practicable. RT f32201 [CARSON to DUNLAP]
