In consequence of the debulion of the S. b. Laura the Government has concluded to send the Sloop Express, Colebrooke, master to Galveston to obtain a cargo of provisions for our suffering army-You will therefore be pleased to furnish to Capt Colebrooke the following articles and take his receipt to deliver them to Valentine Bennett at Cox's point or at Matagorda (line is drawn through last three words) Major Bennett will be on board-
Bread 75 bbl Sent 52 Pocket in addition Flour 25 bbl Sent 25 Pocket Lard 10 kegs Coffee 20 Sacks Sent 20 Shore 2 Boxes Toho. Salt 10 Sacks Sent 6 Sacks Good Hope Soap 25 boxes Sent 25 Pocket
Powder 20 Kegs Sent None Bar lead 5 boxes Sent None These articles are wanted I presume they are to be had on the Island and in the harbor I request Capt Colebrooks may be despatched with all possible expedition- The Durango is mysteriously delayed-The Citizens on board of her must have become impatient-Why is it that She is not off. The articles that have been heretofore ordered for this place you will have sent as early as may be The flour on the Durango may go to Coxe's Point without leaving any portion of it here-in haste
