Col James Morgan Com &c Dear Sir

I have lately written several very much hurried letters to you and can hardly recollect the one half their contents. Among other things divers orders have been sent for provisions &c and I believe no copy has been kept of any of them-it is understood here that there are a quantity of Beans on the Brig Pocket-If none have been heretofore ordered You will please cause one half of the whole quantity on board to be sent to this place by the first oppy-You will also send a portion of the Lard, and oil-Say one half of each All the Spiritous liquor or wine on board You will send here- and three fourths the Soap. I marvel that the Durango does not make her Appearance. The Army is in great need of supplies and no time Should be lost-Do urge the Laura the Good Hope & the Durango off, if they are still with you. I fully expect the Cayuga has performed her trip to Buffalo bayou Your oby St David G. Burnet. P.S. I have written to Swan Harden to send a negro boy Gabriel (Gabe) to you to be forwarded Lo me-If he comes be good enough to take care of him & send him on as soon as possible. DCB
