Resolved, That a committee of three be appointed to receive subscriptions, and also, a committee of two be appointed to receive the names of volunteers, and to supply them with means to enable them to go to Texas. Which resolution was unanimously adopted, and Messrs. N. /1. Badgett, ]. N. Boyle, and R. C. Hawkins, were appointed the former, and Messrs. Pike and Childress, the latter committee. On motion of Mr. Pike, it was Resolved, That a committee of three be appointed to draft an address to the people of the State of Arkansas, on this subject. Whereupon, Messrs. L. R. Lincoln, A. M. Scott, and A Pike, were appointed said committee. On motion, it was Resolved, That the proceedings of this meeting be signed by the President and Secretary, and be published in the several papers printed in this city. for a Single Man.
