Burnet, President of the Republic of Texas, of the one parl, and General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna, President, General-in-Chief of the Mexican army, of the other part. ARTICLE !.-General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna agrees that he will not take up arms, nor will he exercise his influence to cause them lo he taken up, against the people of Texas duri11g the present war of Independence. ARTICLE 2.-AII hoslilities hel'ween the Mexican and Texian lroops will cease immediately, both on land and water.
