To a man of your good sense we need nut say that the encoura~cmenl of volunlir corps is the most cfficicnl way of organizing the militia or any country and especially of a counlry situated as ours is this we believe is a facl so well established hy the history of all countrys that we deem it wl1olly unnecessary to adduce any arguments 011 the subject especially.to a man of your age and experience And that an organization of the militia is necessary the situation of country in addition Lo your own order 011 the subject is proof conclusive we theforc ask of you the privclcgc of forming ourselves into a voluntir company under such orders as you may deem it necessary as lo holding Elections.
