We whose Names are hereunto Subscribed are of opinion that a Convention of the people is best calculated lo quiet the present excitement, and lo promote the general interest of Texas. We acknowledge Lhe doctrine of the right of instruction and we therefore recommend lo our fellow citizens the call of a convention; and we further recommend that the delegates be instructed, so that no party may rule, and that Lhe people be fairly represented in Said Convention Brazoria August 9th 1835- Signed Wm.
