Your favor of 28" Ultimo was handed me by Mr. Buntin, I regret lo hear that you are laboring under disease, and that you have not experienced alJ the benefit to your health. You anticipated from your jounl to Mina. Though you have my Sincere wishes for a speedy restoration to health yet I trust you will not suffer any unchristian murmurings to escape you, but rather bear these slight afflictions with all the patience that distinguished the man of Uz. For the doings & sayings of the delegates to the convention which sat here yesterday. I must refer you to Mr. Buntin of your place. I hope you have not abandoned the intention of devoting yourself lo the study of Law. Whether you you offer your oblation at the shrine of the blustering Goddess of Fame, or bow the knee in the temple of Pluto, the inducement to you as a lawyer arc cqualJy great.
