I herewith enclose You an answer from the Genl. lo the Resolutions which you entered into al Gonzalles I believe the 8th. of this present i\lonth Col. Ugarlachca tells me the Gent was much pleased with them i\'lr Hodge arrived lo day and will leave tomorrow for Gonzales The bearer of this takes an order lo the Ayunlamie11to of Gonzales or lo you direct (and l dont know which for certain) but if lo Ayunlamienlo it goes lo you direct for the apprehension and delivery of Williams Williamson Johnson Travis Zavalla & l3aker a like order is directed to the other Alcaldas which if complied with will prevent the troops from going lo the colonies if not complied with this certainly will go The Col assured me to clay that if these aggressors could he had he would not go to the Colony but in case they were nol taken and given up he would march lo the Colony for no other pourpose but lo get them No more al present bul remain Your truly &c.

[July, 1835?] I left Sanfclipe de Austin on the 23rd. of June 1835 & returned lo this place (Harrisburgh) with the foregoing & on my arrival a number of Lhe citizens assigned it some of them went to anahuac & others remained al home (we chartered the Soop Ohio owned by Capt David Marris & furnished provisions &c and left this place armed and equipcd for the expedition on the 27th. of June /35. John W. Moore left ahout 4 o'clock P i\1 - kcp under way all night the yawl boat ahead & 2 left Sweeps or oars on the Sloop, arrived a_l Lynchburgh next
