San Felipe but from the cold reception met with here they left early 011 Thursday morning for Velasco again, leaving us lo shift for ourselves. Bui Zavalla again arrive here last night. What he intends I do not know-the Americans want no mexicans to hear them if they arc compelled lo go lo war they can find enough of their own people to conlroul them.- There are various reports here suspecting his intentions. Some say he knew nothing of our confusion until he arrived here. and that he came with the intention of localing himself on his land here and that he has Brot. out various farming utensils &c-and Some Say he has been put up to aiding and assisting in our Jndcpcndence Since his arrival-al all events we must depend on ourselves and not upon an aspiring mexican. I believe Sir that all will be peace if mailers go on as I think they now will. Which bids far for the people lo show their firmness-
