To The most illustrious Ayunlamiento of the Jurisdiction of Nacogdoches- Having been delegated by the Honorable Ayuntamiento of i\'lina to Lay before your lllustrious body certain documents containing information of vital importance not only lo the citizens of the Jurisdiction of Mina but to all those of the stale of Coahuila & Texas residing west of the River trinity and in Conformity with tlw instructions given to me by the said Honorable body and the orders of the Government dated 2nd March Last I have the honor to Lay before your most illustrious body the documents referred to and to request that an extra session of your honorable body may be convoked and and that a meeting of the ciliiens may be called lo clcliherate on such subject~ as your illustrious body may derm fit and expedient to Lay before them touching the deplorable situation of our fellow citiiens on the western frontier of Texas and tht>ir sccurit y ag 1 ainst t.lH~ hostile invasions of barbarous savarres. • 0 This is rc!qucsted in order that ~o soon as the sentiment of this illustrious body can be ascertaincrl, the delegak of Mina may have it in his power to n~lurn to those hy whom he wa~ sent and report the success of his mission- Acc1'.pf most illustrious sire
