The Political Chief of Bexar,-To the Secretary of State of
Coahuila & Texas.
1 have received the 13th inst. al 8 o'clock A. Mo. through express despatched from the town of Rosas, Your Lordship's Superior Communication containing a d11plicalc of anol her com- munication aclressecl to me the 20th April, to instruct me to call into service 100 men of the Militia of this Department, and to send them forthwith to the Capital of the Stale at the disposal of the Supreme Go\'ernrnenl. Your Lordship stales in the last of these communications, that you send me a letter on sight of which 1 shall be supplied with ammunition, but I have lo say that this letter has probably been miscarried, as it has not reached my hands. The two communications sent to me lo be forwarded to the Political Chief of Brazos and Nacogdoches, have received their course, the day of their reception here, at 6 o'clock P. M. through an express who is to be paid by the Administrator of the Revenues of this place. Which I have the honor to communicate to your Lordship for the information of His Excellency the Governor, and in answer to your letter of the 6th inst. God and Liberty. Bexar, May 16th, 1835,

The Political Chief of Bexar,-To the l\'lilitary Commander of Texas. In order to be enabled to deliver with the Illustrious Ammtamiento of this City upon the strange and delicate business which makes the object of Your Lordship's communication received at 7 o'clock this evening in which you inform me that having received positive orders from the General Commanding these Stales to prevent the march of the Civic Militia from this city, you have a force in readiness for compelling the party of 100 men that left this place to-day at 12 o'clock, if I do not take upon myself to recall them; I believe it lo be my duty to heg you to stale ~hether you are determined to make use of arms at the risk of sheddmg the
