The Military Commander of Coahuila and Texas-To the

Political Chief of Bexar.

The orders of the Commanding General for preventing the civic Militia from leaving this city are positive and peremptory; they allow no alternative, and must he obeyed, anxious as I feel to remain within the hounds of moderation, my duty as a soldier compels me to carry out the instructions recci\'ed from my superior officer. Which I have the honor lo say to Your Lordship, in answer to your note just received, availing myself of this occasion lo lender you, once more, the expression of my particular esteem and consideration.
